Wow! – Talented Pakistani girl
“Ayleen Ashar” is only 7 years old and is a student of “Grade 2” in Malir Branch of Beaconhouse School Systems is a great example of Generation Alpha kids.
Several of my readers will agree that when we used to be in primary school, other than few words that we remembered from our classrooms, we did not have a clue about things. Neither we had any concept of doing our own research nor of trying to understand things on our own.
Not anymore. The tech savvy Generation Alpha has already started demonstrating their smartness in tons of different ways. Who do we go to when we can’t find something on our cell phones or on a new gadget or even something on YouTube. It’s our kids, who in a matter of few seconds would figure out things and come back.
“Ayleen Ashar” who is only 7 years old and is a student of “Grade 2” in Malir Branch of Beaconhouse School Systems is a great example of Generation Alpha kids.
While brushing her teeth one nice morning using the automated Dora themed electric toothbrush she asked her mom, “hey mom, how does this tooth brush work?”. Like a typical young beautiful but overburdened housewife/mother of two young kids, who had thousands of things on her mind that included getting the kids, including Ayleen, ready for school, getting her husband ready for work, making the breakfast for everyone ready in time, giving the morning tea to her in-laws etc. etc., without giving it a serious thought her mom blurted sarcastically “how would I know, does not your beloved iPad or google know” and forgot about it.
But Ayleen did not.
She took her mom’s advice to heart. After school while doing her homework, she borrowed her mom’s cell phone and asked Google the same question. Google’s embedded AI feature provided her with some info. She continued exploring the question to finer depths till she had a complete idea and understanding. Now she knew how the electric toothbrushes work.
But that was not enough, now that she knows, her mother should too. She also knew that her mom would neither have the time nor the patience to go through all the details that Google’s AI tool had provided. So not only did she summarize everything but also made a diagram explaining the same.
Don’t forget, Ayleen is only in Grade 2.
She not only did great research herself using AI tools, but she also wrote a short and simplified summary of her findings and supported her description with a diagram as well so others can understand the same easily.
Can you imagine yourself doing something similar when you were in grade 2? I know, I can’t. Even today, how many kids of grade 2 will start something like that and complete it too?
How proud her parents should be that their baby daughter is so tech savvy and smart.
How good her schoolteachers should be that they were able to impart such good skills in their young students.
How proud her school should be that their staff and teaching methods are preparing their students so well for the future.
I felt very proud that the kids in my birth country are so bright. Though this topic was slightly out of line with what I generally write about, I could not control myself sharing the same.
Great work Ayleen, keep it up!
And finally, here is what Ayleen produced, see and tell me what you think about it.

This blog shows how smart and curious children of today are. Ayleen, a Grade 2 student, used Google to learn how her electric toothbrush works and even made a simple summary with a diagram. It shows how technology and good teaching help children learn and think on their own.
This article beautifully highlights the curiosity, confidence, and research skills of Generation Alpha. Ayleen’s initiative at such a young age is truly inspiring and shows how technology, when used positively, can enhance learning. It also reflects great parenting and effective teaching that nurture independent thinking in children
